SANEAThe South African National Energy Association (SANEA), the South African member committee of the World Energy Council (WEC), represents a hub for the exchange of energy related information. In so doing, SANEA stimulates original thought and catalyses transformation of the Energy Sector.To achieve this, SANEA strives to play a pivotal role in the future of energy in South Africa, bringing influential role-players together with a view of identifying and implementing sustainable and effective solutions, providing factual and relevant data and knowledge, strengthening the energy network in South Africa and globally, and enhancing awareness of energy issues in South Africa. To achieve its Vision of "Energy People Working Together" SANEA is constantly looking for new opportunities to advance the energy sector, either by expanding its network of members or by increasing its range of activities. SANEA is a non-profit organisation funded by its membership and driven by its Business Plan. The World Energy Council (WEC) is the foremost global multi-energy organisation in the world today. WEC has Member Committees in over 90 countries, including most of the largest energy-producing and energy consuming countries. The 80-year-old organisation covers all types of energy, including coal, oil, natural gas, nuclear, hydro, and renewables, and is UN-accredited, non-governmental, non-commercial and non-aligned. WEC is a UK-registered charity headquartered in London. Its objective is the promotion of sustainable supply and energy use to the greatest benefit of all.
